World Blind Golf Champ to Speak at SRP's 5th Annual 'Champions of Energy Efficiency' Awards

What: Salt River Project will honor 18 innovative businesses and organizations for their commitment to conserve precious resources during its fifth annual "Champions of Energy Efficiency" awards luncheon. The event is part of SRP's ongoing efforts to encourage, inspire and honor commercial customers for taking advantage of SRP's Business Solutions programs to reduce energy use and save money on utility bills.

Each year an inspirational keynote speaker, who is a "champion" in their own right, addresses attendees. This year, Jeremy Poincenot, who suddenly became legally blind at age 19 and went on to win the 2010 World Blind Golf Championship at 20, will share his story. For more information, visit www.jeremypoincenot.com.

The Phoenix Art Museum offers engaging exhibitions for adults and an interactive space for children. Through an SRP sponsorship, general admission to the world-class museum is free on Wednesdays.

When: Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
