SRP to Provide Utility Bill Assistance Resources During Tempe Community Action Agency Food Distribution
WHAT:
Salt River Project (SRP) will be on-site at the Tempe Community Action Agency food distribution event to connect with customers and share information about assistance programs available to help families struggling to pay their utility bills.
During this event, SRP customers will have the opportunity to:
- Review their accounts and confirm they are on the most cost-effective price plan.
- Access resources to help manage and pay their summer energy bills.
- Learn if they qualify for a free Home Energy Assessment, where an SRP Energy Ambassador will inspect their home and identify ways to save energy and reduce electricity costs.
SRP also has a dedicated team of Customer Resource Counselors who help connect customers with community agencies that offer support with rent, food, and other essential needs. To learn more, visit srp.net/assistance or call 602-236-8888.

- To qualify for energy assistance programs, customers should bring:
- A valid ID
- Most recent SRP utility bill
- Proof of income for all adults in the home
SRP is a community-based, not-for-profit public power utility and the largest electricity provider in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area, serving about 1.2 million customers. SRP provides water to about 2.5 million Valley residents, delivering 260 billion gallons of water (800,000 acre-feet) each year, and manages a 13,000-square-mile watershed that includes an extensive system of reservoirs, wells, irrigation laterals, and 131 miles of canals.
