SRP to Distribute 2,200 Heat Relief Kits to Local Nonprofits
WHAT:
SRP has a long history of serving the local community to ensure nonprofits have the resources to support those who need it most through financial support, in-kind donations and employee volunteerism.
Each year, SRP provides thousands of dollars in funding to local nonprofits to help them in their heat relief outreach efforts.
Additionally, SRP employee volunteers have recently packed more than 2,200 heat relief kits that will be distributed to multiple local agencies that provide heat relief and other assistance to the local community. Many of these agencies, including Salvation Army, Circle the City, Project Humanities and the Tempe Community Action Agency, will be coming to SRP to pick up their allocation of the kits.
Each heat relief kit includes a backpack, wide brim hat, reusable water bottle, cooling towel, sunglasses, first aid kit, sunscreen and aloe.
