SRP Seeks Public Feedback on Pinal West-Central Connection Project
WHAT:
SRP will host two nights of in-person open houses to share information, seek public input, and answer community members’ questions about the planned Pinal West-Central Connection (PWCC) project.
The PWCC will support rapid growth and development in the Pinal County region, while also improving the overall system performance.
The project involves building a new 500 kV transmission line with the capability of adding a future 230 kV circuit (double circuit 500/230 kV line).
SRP is preparing an application for a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility for the 500-kV line with the Arizona Corporation Committee (ACC). As part of that process, SRP will present the project in a public hearing before the Arizona Power Plant and Transmission Line Siting Committee before seeking final approval from the ACC.
Community members can learn more about the project at www.srp.net/pwcc, and in Spanish at srp.net/pwcces. A Spanish-speaking expert will be available at both open houses.
