SRP Named Top Corporate Philanthropist

The Phoenix Business Journal has awarded SRP the top spot in the Community Impact category of the 2019 Corporate Philanthropy Awards. SRP earned the honor in the Large Employer category among three finalists, including APS. The recognition positions SRP among the region’s most philanthropic companies.

“We are so thankful to our employees and community partners that make this recognition possible,” said Andrea Moreno, Manager of Community Outreach for SRP. “We look forward to the next 100 years of working to make Arizona a better place to live, creating positive experiences for employee volunteers and supporting our brand.”

In FY18, SRP spent $4.2 million on community outreach initiatives, including grants and sponsorships totaling $3.6 million given to more than 300 unique nonprofit organizations. These funds were spread across SRP’s five focus areas for giving: education, basic needs, arts and culture, civic engagement and environment.

As part of the awards recognition, SRP appeared in a special section of the Oct. 18 edition of the Phoenix Business Journal. In addition, a video was filmed to capture SRP’s perspective on corporate philanthropy. Click here to view.
