SRP hosts Snow Day for Animals at the Phoenix Zoo, Offers Cool Treats to Zoo Guests
WHAT:
SRP’s Summer of Savings will treat several animals at the Phoenix Zoo to snow in their habitats to help them cool off and beat the summer heat. Guests will see cheetahs, orangutans, tigers, African painted dogs, tortoises and more playing in the snow. Nearly fifteen tons of snow will be distributed among the various habitats. The zoo’s staff will also create frozen delicacies for some of the animals to enjoy.
And it’s not just the animals who get a frozen treat that day, SRP Summer of Savings is offering free ice cream to zoo guests from 9 – 11 a.m. in front of the zoo, while quantities last.
The SRP team will also be onsite to offer energy efficiency tips and info, and share entry codes for the Summer of Savings Giveaway.
