SRP Financial Assistance Resources to Help Customers This Summer
SRP is committed to supporting customers with a range of programs and resources designed to help manage electricity bills, especially during the summer.
- State of Arizona Power AZ Program – SRP customers with an income of up to 100% of the State Median Income, which is $8,998 per month for a household of four, may be eligible for bill assistance if they do not qualify for traditional low-income energy aid. Eligible customers can receive between $160 and $640 in assistance over a 12-month period. Additionally, a one-time crisis payment of up to $500 is available. To apply, customers can visit the Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) A to Z portal.
- SRP Income-Qualified Discount – Income eligible customers can receive a $35 monthly discount or a $10 discount on their SRP electric bill. Customers between 0%-150% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) can receive a $35 a month bill credit. Customers at 151%-200% of the FPL can receive a $10 a month bill credit.
- Project SHARE – SRP partners with its customers and the Salvation Army to provide Project SHARE, an energy assistance program to help customers having trouble paying their energy bill. The program offers a one-time grant per year to SRP customers who cannot pay their electric bills due to a crisis, such as job loss, medical emergencies or unexpected expenses.
- Energy Assistance by City – SRP customers can visit srp.net/assistance to access a list of resources and assistance programs available by city.
- SRP eNotes – Customers can sign up for text and email notifications that provide outage notifications and weekly or monthly bill projections, payment reminders and high energy use alerts that can help better manage energy costs.
- SRP Safety Net – Customers can choose someone to notify if their electric bill ever becomes past due to help protect them from service disruption.
- SRP M-Power – The SRP M-Power price plan offers simple flat-rate pricing that customers pay upfront. The average SRP M-Power customer saves 12% on energy costs compared to customers who receive monthly bills on other SRP plans.
- SRP Resource Counselors – Customers facing financial challenges beyond utility bill assistance can reach out to SRP’s Resource Counselors, a specialized team that will connect customers with community resources for housing, food, heat relief, AC repair and other assistance. Resource Counselors are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Healthy Homes Air Conditioning Program – SRP is partnering with AllThrive365 Healthy Homes Emergency HVAC Program to offer income-qualified customers support in repairing or replacing an AC unit. Customers with a broken AC unit can reach out to AllThrive365 directly or call the SRP resource counselors to learn more.
