SRP, Arizona Educational Foundation Offer $1,500 Grants to K-12 Teachers
Arizona K-12 teachers can apply for $1,500 through the SRP Energizing Education Grant™, a new program from Salt River Project (SRP) administered in partnership with the Arizona Educational Foundation (AEF). Applications will be open from October 1 through November 30.
This is the first year of the program, which will award a total of $75,000 to 50 teachers. Educators across all subject areas, from arts and literature to science, math and engineering, are encouraged to apply. The application is available on srp.net/energizingeducation and takes approximately five minutes to complete.
“We are thrilled to continue to partner with SRP to support and uplift educators across Arizona,” said Kim Graham, Chief Executive Officer at Arizona Educational Foundation. “Educators go above and beyond for their students every day and this investment from SRP demonstrates their continued commitment to education at every level.”
Grant funds may be used for any classroom need or educational activity that supports student learning, including supplies, projects, technology, or enrichment opportunities.
“We know many teachers spend more than $500 of their own money each year to cover classroom supplies and other basic needs,” said Anita Tarango, Community Engagement Manager at SRP. “We want to help ease that financial burden and give teachers more resources so they can focus their energy on what matters most: teaching their students.”

About AEF
Since 1983, the Arizona Educational Foundation (AEF) has been at the frontlines of Arizona’s PreK–12 public education system celebrating excellence and addressing persistent challenges facing schools, educators, and students. Founded by former Arizona State Superintendent of Public Instruction Carolyn Warner, AEF is the state’s only education foundation charged with elevating Arizona education by showcasing schools and educators that exemplify best practices and to confront issues facing schools and educators. As such, our 11 statewide initiatives serve as beneficial interventions that help increase academic opportunities for schools, build leadership pipelines, support teacher retention, and expand opportunities for students and districts who too often go without. Public education is the heart of a community, and AEF remains focused on ensuring every student, in every community, has access to the resources, educators, and opportunities required to succeed.
