JD Power: Business Customers Rank SRP Highest in West Region

9th Time in Last 11 Years of J.D. Power’s Customer Satisfaction Study Findings

For the sixth time in the last seven years, Salt River Project ranked highest in customer satisfaction for business electric service among large electricity providers in the West Large Region, according to a study issued today by J.D. Power. It’s the ninth time in the study’s last 11 years that SRP was ranked highest in the region by its business customers.

SRP’s overall customer satisfaction index score was 819 out of a possible 1,000 points -- an increase of one point from 2018 -- in the J.D. Power 2019 Electric Utility Business Customer Satisfaction Study. The average score in the West Large Region was 765.

The largest provider of electricity and water to the greater Phoenix metropolitan area, SRP scored highest among large electric providers in the West Large Region in five of the six J.D. Power customer satisfaction index factors: Power Quality and Reliability, Corporate Citizenship, Billing and Payment, Communications and Price.

The J.D. Power 2019 Electric Utility Business Customer Satisfaction Study rankings are based on interviews with representatives of more than 21,000 U.S. businesses that spend an average of $200 or more a month on electricity. The western region covers Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

Earlier this year, SRP was ranked highest in the western United States among Large electric utilities in the 2019 Electric Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study -- the 20th time in 21 years that J.D. Power has been surveying residential electric customers.
