For the third year, Better Business Bureau (BBB) joins forces with Salt River Project (SRP) to launch the BBB Ethical Cadet Scholarship. The program honors Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) students for their leadership and commitment to service.

As a not-for-profit, community-based utility with more than a century in the Valley, SRP is deeply rooted in the community and committed to support the people we serve,” said Renee Castillo, SRP Senior Director of Human Resources and Executive Sponsor of SRPVets. “The JROTC scholarship program represents SRP's vision for the future and desire to invest in the next generation. We are honored to reward those training to potentially serve our country.”

Arizona high school freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors currently enrolled in a JROTC program within SRP’s service area while maintaining 2.75 GPA or higher, are eligible to apply. After completing the essay submission with supporting documents, 10 winning cadets and their JROTC programs will each receive $1,000 each, totalling $20,000 in scholarships sponsored by SRP.

Applications will be accepted until January 31, 2021. Winners will be announced in March and funds will be used for JROTC activities.
